The Dr. Eugene Clark Library will be closed on  January 18, 2021 in observance of the MLK holiday.

The City of Lockhart is closing to walk-in traffic at its indoor facilities for the first two weeks of the New Year from Friday, January 1 to January 15 to help ensure COVID-19 cases remain low among staff and in the entire community.

The change will take effect at City Hall, the Dr. Eugene Clark Library, and the Municipal Court at 5 p.m. Thursday, December 31.

During the temporary closure, please call (512) 398-3461 if you need assistance.

  • Virtual programs and curbside service will continue. Patrons can call or reserve their material online via the Card Catalog or by phone.  To pick up materials, patrons will arrive at the Library, dial the main number, and remain in their vehicles. Library staff will bring their materials to curbside-designated parking spots that will be located adjacent to the library on Prairie Lea Street.

Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

The library will continue to offer access to materials, services and technology in the following ways:

The library has many online services, including eBooks, downloadable magazines, and audiobooks that are available for free using your library card here. The library also has a YouTube channel now to which it has added new episodes of Virtual Storytime and allows children to enjoy a Virtual Summer Reading program.
