Purpose

The Friends of the Dr. Eugene Clark Library is a nonprofit community organization whose purpose is to promote and assist the library.

The Friends believe an excellent library is an essential resource for our community. Individuals and families are encouraged to join and make a difference.

The Friends of the Dr. Eugene Clark Library is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization.  Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Your membership in the Friends of the Library will help:

  • encourage public support for the library
  • raise funds for programming and equipment
  • support library improvements
  • provide financial support for the Summer Reading Program and the preschool story hour
  • ensure the success of annual events, such as the Book Sale, Dickens Christmas in Lockhart and the Dickens Luncheon
  • contribute to the future of our community

The Friends of the Dr. Eugene Clark Library was organized in 1963 primarily to promote interest in the library. Over the years the organization has been instrumental in the restoration and expansion of the library.
