Library Policies

The following policies govern how we use our library.

Dr. Eugene Clark Library Book Donation Policy

The Dr. Eugene Clark Library is able to take donations of good current used books, CDs, VHS cassettes and DVDs. Occasionally these items can be added to the collection and more often can be sold in the annual Friends of the Library book sale. If you have some newer books which are in excellent condition and that you believe the library can use, please come in and ask at the circulation desk if the item(s) are something we can accept.

The Dr. Eugene Clark Library accepts gently used books, CDs, DVDs, and audio books.

We cannot use materials that are worn out, out of date or may contain mold or mildew.

If you have a box of encyclopedias from 1973 or a 40 year run of National Geographic or past issues of current events magazines like TIME or Sports Illustrated; these are examples of donations we generally cannot use. If you have questions about the usefulness of a donation, please give the library a call at 512-398-3223.

You may leave your donation at the Main Circulation Desk during hours of operation. Please notify us in advance if your donation is over four boxes or if you require assistance in unloading your donation.

If you would like a letter of acknowledgement, please fill out our donated items log or attach your name, mailing address and description of your donation. If you do not receive a letter within two weeks please call the Library at 512-398-3223 or email bmartinez@lockhart-tx.org

Everyone is welcome to attend this fun, free event.
